i've travelled through the full spectrum at this point
1. "loved me" -- because it's easy to get good grades as a kid and impress
2. hated me -- because i wasn't successful later at school and socially
3. "love me" again -- because they are getting old and sick and want a free nurse
to say it's been exhausting is a great understatement

Disappointed a bit probably. They are good at hiding it. I'm materially more successful than my sister in the purely monetary sense. I don't need them for help and moolah but they try to be fair anyway.
Before though I'd get accusation of being gay, and of course they never taught me shit about how to get a woman or what to do socially, probably because they didn't have to do anything. It happened to them.
I moved to a different state though, so I wouldn't get pressured. That might have cordoned off a lot of annoyance.

They disrespect, not hate.
I wouldnt say hate just disappointed. My dad seems depressed (albeit he doesnt show it) that i ended up this way

what is there to teach ? All the stuff that you need for that is out of your control and either happens naturally or it doesnt happen at all
