I see lots of people like it, it's popular even with normies but I actually think it's mediocre at best: it's bad writing and pretty cliche.

often the reason so many love it, i had already watched alot of anime by the time i watched death note. is good but not amazing, maybe if it was my first i might have had a different opinion
