Depends, work in a sausage factory, so plenty of times it involves repeatedly lifting sticks of meat, the weight veries, the heaviest being about 30 pounds.

At other times you’ll basically be on your feet all day pulling those racks.

There are people older or less physically active then I am who are, at the minimum, beat and sore at the end of the shift.

Based in the Netherlands and have been working as an electrician for about a year now, mostly residential and light commercial. Can confirm they're always in demand. The market is tight, and a lot of older guys are retiring while demand keeps rising, especially with all the solar installs, heat pumps, and EV charging points going in. Modern systems require you to read complex schematics, understand load calculations, fault tracing etc and stay up to date with NEN 1010 and inspection standards. It’s technical work and if you’re sharp/organised and methodical, there’s real satisfaction in doing stuff right.
