Did you ever do any drugs in your teens? I messed up my life with drugs
I have only done very small amount of LSD, weed, smoke/hookah, beer/wine, Adderall. I normally had bad reactions to most drugs so I stopped and I wanted to avoid addiction. What I found worked best for me to keep control and stay disciplined. Was to have a routine, follow strict diet, and try to rotate entertainment sources (media/books/games/sport). For most part no real life entertainment can compare to drugs but it is safer and if you rotate them enough you won't get bored of any one thing.

yes it should help a good amount. Most poor people would be screwed if they were drug addicted and even after quitting addiction, they'd find it far harder to have the resources to recover in a good environment.
