They are distinctly different. Love is generally founded in a desire to help and/or protect someone (whether that be someone you are fucking, a close friend, or one of your relatives), whereas worship is founded in a feeling of distant admiration.

Even during my most cobalt-blue-pilled days, I was aware of the religion of sex/foid worship. I used to think close to this before I started really wanting a girlfriend.
