You are trying to say something to someone else but the words you subconsciously use and your sentence structure make the meaning somewhat vague or outright more biased against what you intended, then you have to try to fix your mistake which makes you look like a total dumbass, ngl this happens to me way more often in text rather than speech for some reason,,

yes when speaking english. it has to do with my awkward accent

Yes, which is why I often worry other people might take what I say the wrong way or misconstrue my words.

Worse here since there's a lot of ESLs.

Sometimes it makes people defensive or agressive even if it was just ment nice or explaining, I have no idea why.

For my case it's because I learned english all by myself, I'm a frenchcel, and because of that sometimes I do mistakes

Yes, but it doesn't actually do anything to me, since what I end up saying is something just faceted enough to appear coherent.

No, they don't care

Yes - this literally just happened the other day. I tried to explain my thoughts in a work meeting and someone else had to translate what I said because I couldn't articulate it
