I was on Zoloft or the generic version from age 14-16. But, that was like 25-26 years ago.
For some people they do help. They'll make you numb enough to not focus on all your internal bullshit and shortcomings. However, I can say they never helped for me. Ironically, I've noticed the best results of SSRI when prescribed to men, seems to be the dudes that are normie whom are relatively low-inhib and suffer more from bi-polar disorder, more than clinical depression, anxiety, and feelings of low self-worth and social anxiety. The latter being very difficult to treat with psychiatric medications/drugs.
Sadly, the only meds that seem to actually do something for depressed/social anxiety cels are the benzos. They make you not give a shit as much, and you don't focus on the shit treatment you receive from other people.
P.S.
SSRI WILL cause some sexual dysfunction. I remember being a teen and whilst I could get an erection when fapping, you have delayed ejaculation and when you cum it feels underwhelming and strange.
