Discussion Do anime girl avatars actually have a halo effect?

Do anime girl avatars have a halo or a failo?

  • They do have a halo and make the users' posts stand out more to me.

Yeah yeah I know this topic has been beaten into the ground but I just wanted to get peoples opinions real quick here.

This thread brought the topic back to my mind:

Many people here say that anime girl avatars are cringe, that they're internet crossdressing, that they make male users act gay or act like women, so on and so on.

Then there's some other people who think that they "farm halo" and help their posts get more views, and that the haters are actually just jealous of all that. (I specifically remember @Loliraider talking about this before.)

I'm not taking sides or trying to start shit, I honestly just want to hear people's thoughts.

Just ban anything resembling foids already

Monke brain affinity and pity towards inferior species lights up and goes "me likey & me protect" vs a potential threat (a male pfp)

ultra negative halo imo
especially past certain age. its embarrassing enough in 20s but if i see a 30+ year old man with anime/furry whatever the fuck profile pics, i just want death

A small corner of the internet, a forum known to its inhabitants as incels.is. Not a place of brick and mortar, but of pixels and passwords, where the lonely and the lost have gathered to share their private despair. Here the currency is grievances, the language is acronyms, and the highest form of combat is the reply button.

But tonight, something is different. Tonight the war is not over women, or height, or jawlines. Tonight the war is over… anime girls.

Picture, if you will, a thousand identical threads rising like ghosts from the same digital grave. On one side: the purists, typing in righteous fury that a cartoon waifu is a cope, a surrender, a neon sign flashing “I have given up.” On the other: the defenders, insisting that a 2D goddess in a sailor uniform is harmless, aesthetic, even based. Screenshot after screenshot. Ban after ban. “This is why we lose” versus “touch grass, it’s just an avatar.”

Round and round they go. The same arguments. The same screenshots. The same moderators descending like indifferent deities, only to watch the cycle begin anew the moment the lock expires.

They believe they are arguing. They believe they are winning hearts and minds. What they do not know, what they cannot know, is that they crossed an invisible line hours ago… days ago… years ago. They are no longer on a forum. They are in a loop. A closed circuit of rage and repetition where every “final warning” is merely the starting pistol for the next race.

No one ages. No one logs off for good. No one ever types the words “I was wrong.” They simply refresh, quote, and type again, forever.

A simple debate about cartoon girls on a screen. A trivial thing, you might say. A nothing thing.

But in the Twilight Zone, even nothing can become eternity.

You have just entered… the Twilight Zone.

halo if you like it, failo if you dont it is that simple

You know what? Idk

I think Pax Tube tackled this topic once. In short, his point on why people like them is because, well from biological perspective they are appealing to look at. And from a psychological one, they emit some form of femininity that you wouldn't see in your average western foid. The more feminist and degenerate real foids get, the more appealing 2d foids are. They exhibit the "innocent and angelic girl" archetype. And even if some try to be different and come off as tomboyish or have some traits unfit of a foid, even then they will appear appealing compared to real foids.

Here's Pax's video if you are interested. (don't mind the furry mutant, I couldn't find the original, he must have removed or privated it)
