Didnt like 3D metroid (also metroid thread ig)

Loved all 2d played all of them expect nes and gameboy first two but the 3D ones were yeah mid at best pushed through prime was okay experience nothing special, and dropped 3D ones completely mid through echoes idk felt like a fucking chore, and no it wasnt me going through them in one go i played multipe 2d metroids in one go and i was still very entertained and still am(playing metroid dread atm its so peak).

anyway what was yours experience with 3D metroids?

I was playing the remake of Metroid Prime on Switch and I felt like it was way too simple, I never got lost or had to stop and think. I was expecting something different
