One of them died on the eastern front as a war prisoner,the other returned home deaf and with only one leg.The other two returned home,one injured badly and couldn't use his hands fully again .

Yes, my great grandfather. Italian Army, Eastern front. Ended up as a POW. Eventually he returned here in spaghettiland.

All of my grandparents were under amerimutt bombs at home instead.

No, they were ethnics in a third-world shithole probably living as laborers/merchants or something. I don't know anything about them, really, or about much of my family at all, doubt they got to serve. :feelsjuice:

One of my ancestors also died fighting in WW1.
 
My great grandfather was a partisant and almost got executed by the Wehrmacht but he escaped.
 
no but my great grandfathers uncle fought in WW1 when he was 16.
 
My moms grandfather,my great grandfather fought for the ustaše in ww2.The (((commies))) killed him as a POW
