I loved the first two games and the remake. I could never get into Dead Space 3. The writing and move away from survival horror killed my interest in it.

That's a shame. I was really hoping to see a revival of the series.

The first had the best story. Exploring this mining ship that was completely dark and abandoned and discovering what had went wrong

The second had a lot of improvements gameplay wise and i liked how rooms had no light but I thought it was stupid that humans could recreate the marker with so much power, and after seeing what it did to the mining ship it makes no sense. It also felt like you were more alone in the first game
