Do you hate it when you start a boring game and are now obliged to finish it even though you want to play something else?

I completed about a portion of Soy Dead Cuckdemption 2 and in my opinion it's just boring overrated normieslop. I don't want to play that NT shit I want to play my ND shit which is Pokemon ROM hacks but then again if I start to play Pokemon I will have the guilt of not finishing a task I started so I will be stressed about not completeing Soy Dead Cuckdemption 2

i need to complete a game during the honeymoon phase being the first 1-3 weeks or else it’ll just rot in my backlog. then after many months i want to get back into it but i feel like i’ts been too long of a break for me resume, and too much time invested to restart.

Yes I do, I used to not finish games for a while but I started to beat most games I play for a few years now. Imo if you're really really not enjoying the game then don't feel bad about dropping it. I dropped Majoras Mask and Final Fantasy 13 because I was really not having fun playing the game. FF13 literally had me questioning if I enjoy video games anymore... Then I beat and played GTA 4 and remembered that videos games are awesome! LOL

So don't feel too bad, if you're really not enjoying it then just drop it or if youre almost finished beating it then just try to power through it and rush it a bit.

Nah
If a game is pure garbage or boring I drop it and play something else

Yes, I try to finish a game even if I'm not enjoying it.

RDR2 hate is forced. Story has woke elements like all modern games, but the open world is top tier.

I used to finish games regardless of how much I hated it. Now I usually quit it within an hour if I don't like it.

RDR2 is too slow, but the world is insanely good.

One of the worst paced games in all of history, mid game is 20 hours of complete otiose nothingness. Whenever I start a replay I usually just spend 100 hours roaming around doing nothing because chapter 2-3 are aids.

Nah i actually have trouble with finishing games I started to play, Ive mostly just replay DUSK and Postal 2

I'd never make myself suffer through this.

i mostly never finish rpgs cuz they're too fucking long

I hate when that happens, and also the problem is that I tend to like very complicated games with lots of mechanics like RPGs and all of that, so if I don't play them regularly I start forgetting controls and all of that.

When I start getting bored I start ignoring the most autist parts of the game (like collectibles, obscure side quests, etc), and I also try to have one or two simpler games on the side (things like vampire survivors or some shooter) just to decompress.
