Coping with gore (or just watching it)

What are your thoughts on excessive consumption of gore content? Kinda like porn consumption but with gore but not wanking off to it. However, just like porn, it gives you a fast heartbeat sometimes and adrenaline. It also gives you fight or flight sometimes unlike porn. Is this unhealthy? Or did i just find out a new way to pass time.

I don't feel like shit after watching. But I do think about it a lot. It's the curse of curiosity, I guess.
