Can asthma comeback?

I havent been doing well when comes to workout or fitness for these last couple months I know I'm not greatest runner in world but I haven't been able to do run/jog for 1 mile or 2 i cant do even do long do walks during day without feel like heart go expoled and have to head back home . I don't know if I was born with weak lungs or my breathing wrong when running or heart or I'm not pushing myself hard enough mentally and ignoring pain when it comes to physical activity

Probably. I get bad asthma after I dust and clean my cat's litter I just never have it happen unless I do those things
