This is to "reduce the costs of housing criminals" and "free up government resources to pursue serious crimes". YOUR resources, meanwhile ours get plundered with no punishment, what a fucking joke. Keep in mind, the $950 limit is daily, meaning they can steal that amount every single day. If you leave your car unlocked and they enter your car, YOU are held responsible. At worst, they will be taken to the police station and released in a few hours, that is if the cops even bother to show up.
