Well direct flight with KLM was literally 3-4 times the price. But if you go with airliners of the Chinese government it's cheap, especially, if you don't care about stops. And obviously, don't take a bunch of upsells along the way, only the absolute necessary.

In the end I enjoyed it and I miss it now. Tokyo public transport is incredible man. You can go anywhere in and near the city for a couple dollars at most. I was also losing weight and becoming healthy in Japan.

It's ghetto Japan, I recommend learning some Manadarin. I know 0 Chinese besides xiexie and ni hao, and the odd word here and there.
It's not needed for the heart of Taipei, but New Tapei City where I am staying you definitely need it, let alone in other places in eastern, western and southern Taiwan.

Pepople are nicer and much much friendlier than Japan. In some ways I prefer Taiwan.
But traffic is more dogshit and some nice shit modern shit like the famous JP toilet isn't here.
Also food in Japan is much nicer.
