RageFuel Being forced to get a driving license and anxiety

My dad pressures me into getting a driving license but I am giga anxious and I've always been scared of driving ever since I was little I've feared the day I'd have to drive. 5 days from now I am going to go to an instructor and sign up for my driving license which I'd have to pass. My awareness is shit and when I tried to drive with my dad I nearly went off road because I kept looking at my legs (manual cars are really hard to drive in my opinion). It's honestly insane how a single second of being distracted might lead to a disaster jfl I know that driving isn't for me but I'd have to get the license unless I want my dad to think of me as a pussy or a coward.

what helped me a lot is thinknig abt all the junkies and homeless people with licenses,and the fact if they can do it, so can u, driving alone takes some of the anxiety away compared to when ur being watched n shit lol, plus being a grown man without a license is death tier, that alone should be enough to force you to withstand adversity

You are right. He does indeed financesmy driving lessons but being autistic sperg won't help me at all. I am shaking just by thinking I'd have to go there to that instructor. Since I am anxious i will probably get everything wrong.

I was a retard, took me a long, LONG LONG time and the driving instructor almost gave up on me, I got it in the end, I later on became a truckdriver so now I have spend more time on the road then most people, I love driving now it's where I feel comfiest and at my best.

Just don't give up, no matter how much balls it sucks and it surely will when you are anxious it disappears 1-3 months after you get your license

You drive manual cars right ? Because automatic cars are sort of easy to get into. Everyone I know drives a manual car.

I was absolutely terrified at the idea of driving, to the point where I would sweat and my heart would race when I was behind the wheel at first. After a few months of driving tho, I became a great driver and am now totally relaxed and comfortable with driving. You’ll be fine mane

This is what motivates me. I am much more capable of foids who cannot even properly drive to this day. I am usually a person who is trying his best not to mess up in anything I do and I assume that driving would be similar. My biggest fear of course is hitting a parked car while driving around the street because Eastern European roads are shit and everyone parks whenever they want.

Same here but my mom agrees that if someone is scared of driving then they shouldn't so i dont get pressured. Id advise u to not get the drivers license

The learning curve for manual is steep, it is hard at the beginning but gets easier the more you practice. What helped me was learning the theory behind how a manual car works, how the clutch separates the engine from the wheels and the minimum speed at which an engine must run. Once I learnt this I never stalled. I've only stalled twice in the past 6 months or so and it was both hill starts because my car is underpowered and doesn't have hill hold assist.
