List of secondary effects caffeine have:
-Tolerance. It wont have any effect after around a month of use.
-Withdrawal. You will pay the same or more amount of pain than the pleasure you ever had with it after quitting.
-Less gray matter in the prefrontal cortex. Which causes depression, brain fog, lower concentration... etc.
-Less bloodflow in the brain. Which cause all sorts of mental disabilities.

All of these side effects are reversible (including reduction of gray matter volume) when you abstain from caffeine for a period of time (15-20 days, if I recall). If the effect was permanent, I'd have quit years ago.
