How would the government make the money required to build infrastructure, welfare, education, healthcare and a military?
They should run it like a business. For example, Saudi Arabia uses its own resources to fund the country. The current schooling system sucks. It's completely disconnected from the labor market, which leads to high unemployment among new grads (not to mention that young boys are unironcly discriminated by the system). The solution? Let companies get directly involved and invested in educating the youth. Mentorship programs combined with online schooling is what I would’ve wanted back in my young years, at least. I would not mind a vat tax though to fund the military.
