I agree about schizo and depression, but some kids show autistic traits without being ugly and not yet beaten down and excluded by the world. The traits I'm talking about aren't poor ability to socialize, more like a very intense interest in some very narrow field, or having to do things according to some highly specific pattern which makes no sense to an outsider. But yeah it would be nice if soyciety actually supported those kids' development in the areas that interest them, instead of labeling them autistic and calling their interests "unhealthy"
It's almost as if the soyciety WANTS to keep those kids stunted, because they refuse to admit that eccentric kids might be geniuses in some fields. Almost like they want ALL kids to go through the same humiliation rituals, to implant the idea that success, looks and intelligence are earned and not inherited. Almost like they want to maintain the illusion that if you study hard enough, you will become smart and rich. While in reality much of your life is predetermined based on your genes, your spawn location, and your parents' wealth. But no way any of this is true, that's just schizo talk
