Water is wet, I know. Don't get me wrong, being ugly sucks and people treat you poorly but ugly NT guys can manage within reason. Sure, there are some guys who are plain hideous and get treated horribly, but few of us are that bad. A lot of us are just average to below average.
The reason I ask is because, in my case, I'm not exceptionally ugly but I'm socially retarded (and tiny). I'm the perfect target for bullying and I blamed it on my appearance when it was largely my abnormal spergy behaviour that made people uncomfortable or caused ridicule, even if my intentions were innocent.
Basically, I was high functioning enough that no one would assume I'm autistic without careful scrutiny or understanding, but clearly different enough to be treated like a monster, creep, child, crazy person, etc. It's also likely normies can subconsciously realize it from looking at us without knowing what it is.
I internalized that as being physically repulsive since it was impossible for me to understand why I've received such abhorrent and seemingly unprovoked maltreatment. But nope, I'm just special and people are scum bags. I suspect this is the case for most of us tbh and why we value physical appearance so much. We pretty much need it to compensate for our deficient brains.
