I am not talking about the unofficial ones that only has your classmates. I hate them too but for other reasons. Here i am specifically talking about the official groups with teachers in it where you get all the info regarding the stoodycelling. I hate learning that there is some work that needs to be done or i need to be college for some event be it exams or anything else. Checking the whatsapp group has it's own risks and rewards. If there are no new relevant messages i feel a lot calmer than not checking. But there is always the risk that there might some new info that would put me under a lot of stress. I hate being so high inhib. For wagiecels they probably have to check their emails instead of some social media groups.

I can relate. I never had a group chat for school, but instead our school used Google Classroom (which essentially served the same purpose as the group chat you describe in your post). I would dread reading about new assessment information being posted there, or (to a lesser extent) seeing the upcoming work for the day posted.

It's a post covid thing to have whatsapp groups for school or college purposes. Teachers are only in the official group though where only they can send messages. There is another unofficial group consisting of only the students.

I graduated HS in 2024 so I’m pretty sure not much has changed since then but yeah having GCs with your teachers is normal now

Yes. I hate it. I always avoid opening any group that has normies and foids in it, in this case i have the group of the people that work in the same company that i work (apprentices), and i silenced the group to not receive any message from them. And i never open the group.
