I've been pretty interested in the Collatz Conjecture lately, already head-calculated up to 1352 in the span of maybe three weeks and am currently reading into works about it. Does anyone else on here have interests in some kind of math/physics things that he could maybe also recommend?

for the collatz it, there is an attemptive proof(I am summarising it) it goes as follows there is a line 2 8 16. They are all powers of -2 which are even like -2^2=3(1)+1 then it is -2^4=3(5)+1 and its -2^6=3(21)+1 ... so the pattern is 4n+1 and all numbers are either even or odd so a even number could be rewritten as its simplification, and its odd part. so 26 would be 13x2 with 13 being the odd part and the fomrula for odd part is n= n/2^k(where k is a the biggest number n factors to) then from there you can if lets say a number where to exist it would have to be a odd number as even number would just get removed from the odd part
