Anyone been on accutane/isotretinoin ?

I’ve been on it since 16 now 33. What are your experiences ? List of side effects

Common Side Effects of Isotretinoin

• Itching
• Changes in nail and skin texture
• Hair thinning and breakage
• Dry mouth, nose, ears, throat, and anus
• High triglycerides
• Nausea
• Weight loss

Serious Side Effects of Isotretinoin

• Bone softening or brittleness or other bone disorders
• Inflammation of liver or pancreas
• Cataracts or other vision changes
• Depression and suicide
• Stroke

I can’t get off it or else I’ll break out hard. My androgens receptors are so sensitive to male hormones wtf? Went bald because of dht sensitivity on my scalp and I got permanent acne. My hormonal profile is all fucked up, but somehow I cope with the depression and suicide mental effects.

Swap bedclothes once a weak, get a milder shampoo, don't shower hot, try showering every other day, have a seperate face hankerchief, drink more water, see dermatologue and get those acne antibiotics, try to avoid sugar, white flour and dairy, start lifting.

Thanks for your help. But, I’ve tried all that plus more since I’ve had 16 or so years to experiment. Antibiotics for acne lose their efficacy after about 4 months and kills all the good gut bacteria.

I used it for 5 months then stopped.i improved a lot but I still think I need to take it again for another 6 months.

Mogs me.

Never did take accutane, but similar medication with unpleasant skin as a result. That was the closest I've been to sui I think, realistically. Acne is among the worse things how it demands your attention.
