I'm going to buy one soon for my new pc, ideally under $600 in the USA, 27" 1440p or 4k.

If you have one, do you like it? What model is it? Any issues?

wtf is this new slop shit

Bruh what I'm just asking here because I don't fucking trust reddit niggers
idfk what that oled shit does why not just buy a normal monitor

oled mogs if thats how cheap they are now def get one

I have enough goybuxx to afford one, and they have the best response time, darkest blacks, and generally best for gaming

Not just darker black, true black because it can turn off individual pixels

Ive also never seen light bleed on an oled

Yeah solves a lot of problems but can have some problems themselves, vrr flicker, gray banding, burn in, low brightness, but a lot of the newer panels don't have these issues so much

Looking at this one right now

Seems like it's banding and black crush issues have been solved

No i use Acer

I've had it since June 2022. 13300 hours on it and no signs of burn-in.

For gaming, it's great. Otherwise, it's a nice screen.

I paid $750 for it then, and prices haven't dropped much since on OLED. I wouldn't say it's worth the premium unless you're a serious PC nerd like myself, and even then I don't know.

Also, I've never understood the lack of brightness complaints OLEDs get. Mine is low in that but it's more than bright enough.

I'm on a 75hz IPS monitor that was free right now and it's ass for gaming. I want way higher refresh rate and a better contrast and image quality. I was kind of torn between mini led and oled but seeing as mini leds are all made by sketchy ass companies, I am willing to drop $600 on a monitor to match my $2k PC.

I literally have like nothing else good going on in my life, just wageslaving, college, and gaming basically.

No I've been using the same 2 60 hz monitors I had for 7 years

I have one, love the colors but hate the burn in. I would not buy one if you don’t want to baby it anything with a bright UI will destroy the screen, especially if you leave webpages open for a long time because doom scrolling.

Do you know which one? Also would you go back in time and just buy a high hz IPS instead?

NO, I could beg my nigger mom to get me one with her normiebux :feelskek:

I own a Samsung odyssey 49” g95sd 5120x1440. I place a lot of importance into color reproduction because anime artwork so I would take the negatives of having to baby it for the beautiful color reproduction and black levels.

That being said I still have my old 27” ips monitor as my secondary monitor and I appreciate being to leave a chat client or webpage on there for a long time without worrying about it.

If you want to have a monitor where you are happy and don’t have to worry about it then I would get a ips or tn panel instead. Frankly I heard good things about TN panels with good color reproduction.

Some oleds take 1000 continous hours on a static image at max brightness to get burn in. Just have your screen turn off after 15 mins and let it use pixel refresher if it has it.

I have a free 32" 75hz ips monitor I'm using right now and I would keep that as my secondary to whatever I get. Would it be worth it to choose oled over a good ips for mainly gaming/videos/movies in this case?

Yes, that’s how I use mine.

Neat, I think I just have to send it and return if I don't like it.
Yup, you will probably like it unless its literally defective. TN and even ips dont look the same after hah.

Good HDR in a game is one of my favourite things for IQ

Praying to the monitor gods and I'll order one tomorrow :feelsokman:

You'll notice the difference immediately in gaming.

If cost isn't an issue, then get OLED. I'm the same, my PC is the only thing I'll splurge on because it's basically the only thing that gives me joy.

Also, I do baby mine which may be why it's lasted so long with no issues. Pixel refresher every night, dark mode everything, black background, hide taskbar, screen saver 5 minutes, etc... but I don't do anything excessive.

Sounds good man I'll make an update post when the one I choose arrives and I test it out
