Any tips concreat maxing?

2-3 months ago from when I type this, I helped my grandma save 6K$ regretably by helping her dig out a area for a water leack. The plumber instead charged 450$ for the leack alone because I dug out such area. Well wile the majority of the job is done there still is the fact that the area is being covered with nothing but the soil of such area so I plan for my grandmas christmas present to seal off that area with concrete. Well I dont really know jack shit about concreate so some wisdom will be apreciated. Havent worked on it or worked on it alone I should say.

Ain't too much to it except you need to mix it properly to get the airbubbles out for the best outcome.

Since I assume its not a supporting structure it shouldn't be too important how you do it. Excess water makes the concrete easier to handle but it will also weaken the final product, so its your call

Prep the area with compacted gravel then build a wood frame and pour mixed ready mix concrete, like the thick oatmeal texture kind evenly. then level and smooth it as you go. Let it cure for a week while keeping it moist to prevent cracks and strengten the slab
