This is a story that is 5 years old. How the fuck I didnt think to put this story up back then is beyond me. But its a story before I even made it on this forum. Lets begin.
During my time in virginia, before I moved back here in WA(not DC) it would have a bi weekly episode of big ass rain. With or without the hurricanes. And the rain was shitty. And at a point wile in VA I was working at a store located in shady banks attatched to langley AFB house. A store called food lion. It was also the first workplace to fire me but thats a different story.
Now my job there was to be a cart pusher. Thankfully it was only that and none of the side shit in kroger stores. Now working on pushing carts around in the big ass storms of VA was shitty. I would be soacking wet and it wasnt fun. That alone wouldnt be that bed enough to make a story. You see the I was actually working at a highly rated foodlion. Problably one of the top stores at the time. So custumers would literally skip closer foodlions to go to the one I was at. Problably because it had the most white employees and black employees are basicly how the popeyes steroytypes right them selfs.
So despite it being actually one of the smaller sized food lions, it would also be the busyest. And there was this fucking thing were the custumer count would just multiply by triple when ever a big ass storm would kick in. I shit you the fuck not when ever there was a big ass storm at that place there would somehow be more custumers then less. It was interesting because also, alot of casheirs would call out. So when casheirs would call out they would bring me in for extra hours. And then give me less hours for the next week. Witch suprisingly lead to conseistent paycheck count.
But on those rainy days it was shit. Heavy ass rain, one a day thatll get 3x more busy then if the weather was not shitty. Like why are people like this? If it was rainy, Id want to stay home and mabe order pizza and relax. Not go on a fucking black friday style shopping spree! Oh and it gets better. These custumers would also buy up as much as they can. So here they all were, buy up all they can in a big ass storm, in triple swarms. In basicly the 2nd circle of hell from Dantes Inferno.
I may have had it bad but the casheirs. They had it much much worst as they would be overwhelmed. I was eligible and registered for being a casheir. But I was so good at getting carts they would have me stick there and I would just stay in the building for 10 minutes and spend like 5 or less getting carts. But one thing that still lingers in my head is well... WHY THE FUCK WOULD PEOPLE DO MASS SHOPPING SPREES IN SWARMS DURING A BIG ASS RAIN STORMS!!!!! Even in fucking hurricans they would still do it! Just. I know Im problably talking in circles. But holy shit people in VA dont seem to have any fucking brains. Also a word of advice, if you wanna go shopping. The best times are gonna be 8-9pm were there arent too many custumers.
As I type theres theres a small rain session here in down hill area I got work in 30 minutes. But after today I got 4 days off. And some plans to do some STALKER 2.
