'Softmaxxing' - optimising physical appearance naturally
'Hardmaxxing' - undergoing surgeries or extreme physical alterations in order to change one's appearance
I am against hardmaxxing, not necessarily softmaxxing.
Note: hardmaxxing does not involve reconstructive procedures such as repairing injury, deformity, or medical issues - but rather elective cosmetic procedures performed primarily to chase an idealised appearance.
I view hardmaxxing on a similar level to transgender surgeries, both biblically and non-biblically speaking. But I will lay out this post from a non-bilblical perspective.
If you're looking for a biblical perspective, this is the thread:

Hardmaxxing is like Man to Man transitioning. You're altering your appearance to look more of a particular gender. It's the definition of gender affirming care.
Same thing with being a "man trapped in a womans body" and getting treatment --> to being a 6ft soul trapped in a 5'6 body... and needing limb lengthening surgery to account for your desires.
Anyone who has followed gender medicine will see the obvious parallels to the extreme body modification procedures sought by members of the trans community. What such trans identifying individuals and hardmaxxers have in common, is that they each possess an extreme overvalued belief - and that the benefits of such drastic body modification procedures outweigh the risks.
For example, the somewhat common procedure "limb lengthening" had a complication rate of up to half of all surgeries conducted:

Other common surgeries, such as regarding the eye area, include blepharoplasty - a procedure to remove excess skin, muscle, and fat from the upper or lower eyelids. It is deemed extremely risky and not advised by professionals, yet is still pushed by the extreme media and creators. Example of common botched eye surgery:
Note: Of course not every surgery will look like this, but it is very high risk and this is an example of a failed surgery.
WPATH in 2010 made it possible for trans people and the procedures that followed to be celebrated openly, as a positive expression of someones 'true self'. Since then there has been a surge in youth identifying as trans and developing extreme overvalued beliefs that they saw being celebrated/promoted by the media. The lesson we should have learnt from this is that treating extreme beliefs as non-negative will cause serious harm to gullible and vulnerable people.
It goes without saying that hardmaxxing practices come with many high risk side effects and unnecessary dangers. Looksmax creators downplay this risk in an effort to gain agreement and attention, doing so at the expense of primarily adolescents health and wellbeing. These creators who promote activities such as limb lengthening surgery, injecting yourself with peptides, and even hitting yourself in the face to promote "bone growth", are all incredibly harmful and shouldn't be promoted to anyone, let alone younger people who can't think for themselves.
"Bonesmashing" is one of the looksmaximising trends by these creators that are causing serious injury:
I feel like it isn't long before these creators look back in horror regarding what they have promoted, and their anti-christ practices they have preached... that is if they even live long enough in the first place with their excessive drug use.
People supporting the average "looksmaxxer" have the moral obligation to stop, just like the average supporters for gender reassignment surgeries also have a moral obligation to stop. All "looksmaxxers" should be de-platformed in my opinion.
Idiot creator posing with a hammer:
Anyone considering "hardmaxxing"/injections/surgeries is mentally ill, and is in need of psychiatric assistance.
I'd be surprised if many blackpillers on here are pro-hardmaxxing, as it goes against the term itself. The term is redpilled, and aligns with .orgs belief system.
Having said that, I know there will be some people on the forum that disagree with the statements, but I suspect the majority will have enough wisdom to understand the point and see the obvious folly in the scene.
