I received a response to my inquiry on Eastern Orthodoxy about their stance on women to be met with:
“The most exalted human being in the eyes of the Church is the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. We sing to her as being ‘more honorable than the cherubim and more glorious, beyond compare than the seraphim’.
We stand in awe of the miraculous capability of a woman to bear and give birth to a child.
Many of the saints of the church also speak about how women tend to be more innately spiritually sensitive than men. Men and women are definitely different and that is a good thing... We are meant to complement one another. Each gender has their strengths and talents and a wise couple takes advantage of that synergy.
Any talk of hatred of women has no place in Orthodox Christianity.
I hope this is helpful.”
Now, perhaps it was my mistake coming to a traditional church asking for their stance on women, but reading between the lines I see nothing but white knight win, false veneration and cuckery. “Any talk of hatred of women has no place in Orthodox Christianity.” And people say orthodoxy is based? Oh the church that has hundreds of paintings worshipping Mary more than they do Jesus Christ, is based? It’s cucked and its unbiblical, not a single passage in the scriptures point to worshipping these images of Mary, or any other saint, nor do they allow idolatry and foid worship, Mother Mary, all women are like that, no exceptions.
