Ilan Shor (or Șor;[6] Hebrew: אילן שור;[7] born 6 March 1987) is an Israeli-born Moldovan pro-Russian[8] oligarch[9] and politician. In 2014, Shor "masterminded" a scam that saw US$1 billion disappear from Moldovan banks,[10] resulting in a total loss equivalent to 12% of Moldova's GDP and the arrest of former Prime Minister Vlad Filat.[11] In June 2017, he was sentenced to 7.5 years of prison in absentia for fraud and money laundering and on 14 April 2023 his sentence was increased to 15 years. All of Shor's Moldovan assets were also frozen.[12] After spending time under house arrest he fled to Israel in 2019, where he lived until 2024.[13] He currently lives in Russia,[14] a country whose citizenship he received in 2024.[1]

he is not so important among many jews and ethnics who run ruzzia

Do you remember when I mentioned that livestreamer Johnny Somali before? Things have taken a wild turn. He's once again catapulted himself into global attention, this time for having his own little Diddy party with a statue honoring Korean "comfort women." I know that it's a symbol of peace between Korea and Japan that carries some serious historical weight, but I'm willing to bet you’ve got a unique perspective on this facet of East Asian history, so I’m really curious about how you feel about this.

The fallout’s been intense. Right now, he’s facing a travel ban for causing 'commotion' while authorities investigate everything from this incident to allegations of drug use (You didn’t hear it from me, but the drug tests came back negative, so those charges have been dropped), obstruction of business after disruptive behavior at the convenience store, accusations related to deepfake content, and even spreading North Korean propaganda jfl. Just when you think it can’t get more bizarre, it does.

But it’s the statue that has everyone seething. I’ve been meaning to bring this up to you because I've been wondering what you would think about the whole controversy, especially since you’ve got one foot in the matter—or if you even know or care about it.

I've been aware of it, only bearing wearing witness to the recent events. :feelssus: I, by virtue, despise attention seekers irrespective of what they do. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't scoff at niggermali no more than I would at a foid suibaiting. However, what he's been doing as of late is uniquely cringe and bereft of any self respect. He's at a point where he'd do anything for attention and people like that are the dredges of society. The fact that other retarded influencers who laid waste to other countries didn't get the same physical and legal treatment like his is sad. And it's only because they weren't as brazenly and flippantly obtrusive, not brandishing their absolute retardation like a trophy. Anyone who is a foreigner and waltzes into some other people's country and starts defacing any aspect of their society needs that treatment. As for the statue, it could've been anything, really, what matters is the action within itself. Even if the statue wasn't historically important, defiling a society's cultural standards is, in a way, defiling a cultural edifice with hundreds of years of historical weight, more so than any particular statue. I don't know why people are hung up on that.

and the fact that I or any American for that matter has to be tangentially associated with retarded philistines like these is fucking annoying, especially if you want to travel.

It's entertaining at least. The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long.

Looks like you and I aren't seeing eye to eye about this at all, even less than I expected lol. I think pretty much everyone else would have no reservations about agreeing with you. But I'm going to take a step back from the collective outrage machine and play villain here. Everyone and their grandma is ready to stake their moral high ground and cast their judgment on Johnny Somali, but objectively, the worst he's done is the childish spectacle of throwing ramen in a convenience store and drunkenly cursing at the poor ajumma just trying to do her job. That was just outright embarassing. Everything else, though, was a harmless troll as far as I can see. Did he actually vandalize the statue, deface it, or even lay a finger on anyone? No. Like, the guy danced in front of a "symbol of peace" memorializing women who were made prostitutes by the Japanese military before and during World War II. You can call it deliberately tasteless and insensitive, sure, but the whole overreaction to it says more about the light in which people view muh holy Kpop/weebland than it does about the legitimacy of his behavior. From an inkwell's perspective, shouldn't what Johnny is doing be considered based on an unprecedented scale, if anything?

I hate using that word now because of how grossly mainstream and pozzed it's become, but there's no other word for it. And it’s not just because he’s managed to piss off every NPC and white knight redditor, though that’s certainly a perk. It’s because, frankly, I think he's hilarious, and I wouldn't be going to bat for him if I didn't. I would elaborate on why, but you’re probably either rolling your eyes so hard they’re about to pop out of your head or falling asleep just listening to me yap, so I'll hurry up and get to the point:

We’re sitting here on a site where people glorify serial killers, domestic terrorists, school shooters, and war criminals. Individuals who’ve taken lives, destroyed communities, and caused actual, genuine harm. You can't tell me you're drawing the moral line at a guy whose “crimes” amount to being loud, obnoxious, and, maybe occasionally offensive in public... Let’s not pretend we’re above this. Johnny Somali is an agent of chaos in the truest sense of the word, and in doing so, he's singlehandedly disrupted the pedestal that Japan and Korea have been placed on by weebcucks, Koreaboos, yellow fever simps, etc. There’s this weird, almost fanatical need for people on the internet to coddle these countries and treat them as these sort of sacred cultural havens where any disruption—especially one that even lightly pokes fun at the carefully curated image they've been placed on in the minds of their devoted fans—gets interpreted as unforgivable sacrilege. It’s not about his behavior being worse than any other content creator's. Jake Paul showed a Japanese salaryman's corpse on video and he's more successful than he's ever been, as I'm sure you were alluding to. It’s about where he’s choosing to do it.
