Denji won. I'll admit, I have a small preference for CSM over JJK, so I did want this, but I didn't expect it. The thought did cross my mind that maybe this was a set-up so that CSM could get a win and not go 0-3, kinda like how Shadow vs Ryūko is believed to be given the wild mismatch in power and how it came after a bunch of defeats for Shadow. But in that case, I thought they'd have Denji and Pochita win just because of their unarguable advantage in speed, like how Wonder Woman beat She-Ra despite the latter being stronger according to them, not that they'd actually make them more powerful by using a generous interpretation of Yoru's feats in their final battle (her actually turning all of Oregon into that sword, which admittedly, it was never shown to not be all of that, but a lot of people think that it was just some city or a town).

Anyway, I'm one of the people who criticized Gojo vs Makima, so I can't complain much about CSM getting a win over JJK.

"Unlimited Void isn't an attack so her contract wouldn't redirect it," has got to be the dumbest argument in Gojo vs Makima discussions, by far

For real:feelskek:. To be clear, despite the repurposed Makima panel in my signature, I lean towards Gojo winning this matchup on average, in the 65-70 wins out of 100 fights sense, but he's winning thanks to his vastly superior AP/firepower, abilities that are much more optimized for combat...

Also, Sentry vs Superboy-Prime sounds like a pretty good matchup as well (Superboy should take it, there really isn't much in comics or fiction in general that can stand up to Silver Age Kryptonians).

As a kidcel I was very much into the 90s era of comics (think Maximum Carnage, X-Men, Batman: Knightfall, etc) and later the 2000s as well. I think most American comic books stopped being good around early 2013.

That being said, you think I should get into silver-age comics too? Or are they way too corny

I'm not too well-versed in the differences between the various comic eras (I think I was more knowledgeable when I was younger), but I think Silver Age is worth it just because of how nostalgic they are and the pedestal they are placed on. People blatantly prefer that period to the Golden Age, and it's a good amoun of time before something on their level appeared again.

Denji's healing factor and what counts as he dead is weird and inconsistent as fuck

I guess sukuna could find a way to actually seal him instead of killing pochita/denji,
With regards of a raw fight it depends, if it's final yuji (from the original manga) denji is cooked
but at the same time taking final Yuji leaves sukuna out
And final yuji ain't surviving pochita if denji magically gets pochit to act (via vow break or smth)

But let's be honest in a realistic scenario they wouldn't fight but go watch a movie together lol

They used Modulo Yuji actually (well, his feats), they just scaled Pochita (who joined the fight after Yuji split them apart like Sukuna and Megumi) so much above him that it didn't matter.

But let's be honest in a realistic scenario they wouldn't fight but go watch a movie together lol

It was a bit of an unrealistic scenario, as is often the case with Death Battle, where Yuji randomly happened to be near a place where Bat Devil crashed after being killed(?) by Denji, and he immediately assumed Denji to be a Cursed Spirit.

I think it should be obvious that csm scales above modulo yuji. csm has done insane feats and is nearly indestructible. the thread about makima is right, everything will just be redirected. I think the best shot from the entirety of jjk is wcs or yuji's sd

I agree with the outcome of this, I honestly think just the speed and durability difference alone would be enough for denji too win. He pretty much outclasses yuji in everything besides skill and Iq.

Although, I do think they heavily overrated his power imo

Basically my thoughts as well, the Oregon scaling is quite questionable.

I don't think WCS would manage to get past Makima's contract. Even if we go with the more esoteric explanation of why WCS had fatally-damaged Gojo (i.e., the world around him being the target, rather than simply seeing Infinity as by default being unable to deal with space-cutting attacks (which bypass its spatial-bending properties by destroying space outright rather than moving along with it) regardless of whether they directly target Gojo or not), Makima's contract should still apply to indirect damage as well. I can't remember examples from Makima herself, but Yoru, once she got functionally the same contract, had for example survived her own nuke-tier attack completely destroying her body even though she meant it as an attack on Pochita. Yoru has actually taken permanent damage despite her damage-redirection contract that is effectively identical to Makima's when she slammed into a wall after swerving to avoid that bird, but that just shows how hard it is to get around it. The damage had to come from her own actions (whcih Denji specifically points out), and it had to come from her own actions that couldn't be seen as an attack in any way (which is why she healed from the nuke attack and not from that.)

Not to mention that, anyway, the Horsemen's abilities seem to be based more so on their perception than that of others who are attacking them, so evne if Makima's contract could be bypassed by an indirect attack like WCS, it would need to be an attack she herself wouldn't consider one, not Yuji or Sukuna.
