I was always indifferent towards it to be honest. I just saw it as another typical relationship, sadly many others don't feel the same, if anything if you're even indifferent towards them like me, you'll get shit for it. This video got me to make this topic on how you feel about student & teacher relationships.



Yeah I know it's one of those animated stories, but at the part when her Teacher was arrested and the girl being heartbroken, it makes me think that relationships between teens and adults are capable of working or failing like many others, it's why AoC is different in various parts of the world, and it illustrates my point that these "morals" that people have are fickle and arbitrary, because if the AoC was raised to 21 and you're already in a relationship with someone who is 18 WHILE the consent laws was 18, you'll recieve shit from people and be arrested. There seems to be no consistency with anyone TBH.

I never really bought the "position of authority" argument. That just assumes that every single teacher is just manipulating the student and dismisses whatever the student actually feels in the relationship. Also, in today's day and age teachers are often the ones whom need to be careful of student's accusations, so power plays are extremely difficult to do.
