About a year ago, I took a business class and I distinctly remember this one time where my teacher asked us two questions;
The first question he asked was who would rather create a business dedicated to creating relationship (kind of like a dating company). Only me and two or three other people raised their hand. Then when he asked who would create an app dedicating to breaking up a relationship and almost the whole class raised their hand. Even my teacher was shocked at the sheer ratio, quipping how we were some "heartbreakers".
Thinking back on this story has made me think; we have reach a point to where relationships are not being seen as a mutual union aimed at raising generations but now as a temporary contract to maximize pleasure.
Seeing that in person almost horrified me. My contemporaries now see relationships transactional and with the idea it will eventually fail. This society is regressing
Make of this what you will.
