Just like height is relative to the average in your areas I think face is as well. Living in a small, working class town you might be able to get by with 5/10 face if the male options are pretty limited. Living in a major urban area, especially well known ones like LA, NYC or Chicago is more brutal. If the average face is 5/10 then when you enter one of these cities you immediately drop at least 2 points. There are probably guys who would be chads with 9/10 face in their small town who drop to 6 or 7 in a big city.

Pretty much, where I live everyone are tall and ugly and old, here you can get away with medium face but you need to be over 185cm. Seeing guys over 190 cm is common even old men.
