I started playing Minecraft when I was 12 so I was in my pre-teen years, my version was quite early (1.3 something) with all the menu condensed in a single tab and much much fewer mobs and materials. When I read about all these zoomer kids saying that Minecraft is their childhood and that they have good memories of staying up late during summer holidays to play the game or having Minecraft themed birthday parties I feel old.

Still do from time to time

I have it installed because it's not too big so it doesn't bother but I rarely play. I get bored pretty fast tbh because I don't play online or don't watch youtubers. When I was 12 I could spend hours on creative mode building shit.

yes, i had mods installed too, Pokecube because the other one was too heavy for my laptop :feelshaha:

now i have minecraft i got last year for free in my smartphone, but barely play it

I'm gen z but one of the early ones because I was born in very late 90s. So while I relate to most of the gen z nostalgia some feel too new to be considered childhood, for example Android games or Minecraft I played those when I was pre-teen/early teen, not a child anymore.

I know both men and women who played Minecraft 8+ hours a day as kids and they are not incels
