Used to have a good friend group during school, I mean I was still kind of ignored. But as years went by, I didn't get that huge growth spurt and stayed short. My face is also subpar.

I was slowly pushed out of the group. Replaced by people who were less funny and less interesting.

Now I'm just on my own.

honestly ive noticed this too.. like there is some sort of threshold these days that you have to reach to even be considered a friend. i feel like the reason we can see it more clearly is because we are lonely and details like that matter to people who have to suffer the alternative

Exactly they don't have to deal with this issue so it never crosses their mind. They are too busy experiencing the spikes of different happy chemicals in their brain that they don't have time to sit and reflect.

Yeah it's true in my experience since teen years (I'm well over 35 now). You need to look good (height + face) to even make friends with other MALES.

I remember coming back to school after summer. One friend grew like 5 inches. The difference in the way he was treated by other boys made my blood boil. Ofc girls started finding him attractive too.
