I once did a professional IQ test, and it measured for fields such as spatial, verbal memory, reasoning IQ skills. The results it gave me?

85 for all of them and for 79 verbal memory.

It's not brag. I don't make much money. In fact just average.

If you ask me to compete in leetcode or math competition I absolutely can't.

What I do is that I fall upwards. Out of many people, at least some will buy my endless yapping and bam I'm hired.

I don't think it's that high IQ of a profession. Certainly smarter than your McDonald's fast food workers but all I can say is, devs tend to be more curious than others.

its not like your posts read strikingly low iq or anything like that, its more like there's an absence of ... something.

I do believe I'm average IQ too if not below average.

Lots of my posts are made on the run; on a phone. generally I don't spare much brainpower to a post like darkstar; these are about narratives rather than "balanced" discussion, to shine a flashlight into something; deeper research about a topic is usually provided in the replies.

In other words, these posts are about engagement. There are people who are more educated than me on a given topic.

Kinda hard to pump out quality stuff if I'm constantly trying to dodge people in the sun heat of 43c.

I'm a believer that if my posts of a topic gets enough engagement, it will get better educated people to provide actual knowledge.

My knowledge is vast, but on a surface level on many topics. Perhaps that's why people call me a human encyclopedia; I don't expertise in any particular field.

I believe you need 140+ IQ to be experts in many fields.
