So, the revolution is over and you guys are in power. All enemies (as defined by you) have been expelled from the nation and your new leader as an iron grip on power. However, killing and removing so many people has alot of negative consequences and the economy stagnates, there are shortages, purges, the police kill everyone who strikes etc. And even after things improve you're still closed off, alot of foreign media is banned and there is a police state would you be willing to put up with that?

Perhaps this is anecdotal but sometimes in comment sections of vids discussing former states (usually dictatorial or totalitarian) there are people who miss or desire the old regime. Even in the worst states like former Zaire or Haiti people will say things were better. I've noticed it on tiktok or youtube mainly.

I've actually thought about this, which is why so many isolationist ideologies focus on spirit rather than material, because said countries will definitely suffer economically.

I'm willing to suffer if it means I can live a life with good community support, friends, and girlfriend.

We need a temporary dictatorial period. About 5 years to adapt the country and society.
