Women who brag about childbirth being painful do this to manipulate others - be it their son, daughter, or the father.
They do this because they are spoiled manipulative un-humbled creatures - meaning birth was never painful for them. They never suffered appreciably - if they did they'd empathize with others and not use something like that to manipulate them. They're sociopaths.
Women who actually felt appreciate pain would generably be humbled by that and never use that trauma to try to manipulate other people - they would appreciate life and the privileges they enjoy. Unspoiled women purified by their pain would have too much class and tact to bring it up casually or to trade upon it - they would be glad the experience allowed them to be a mother and grateful they survived.
