Aposematism is the advertising by an animal to potential predators that it is neither worth attacking nor eating it. This unprofitability may consist of any defences which make the prey difficult to kill and eat, such as toxicity, venom, foul taste or smell, sharp spines, or aggressive nature. These advertising signals may take the form of conspicuous coloration, sounds, odours, or other perceivable characteristics. Aposematic signals are beneficial for both predator and prey, since both avoid potential harm.
We can see examples of this in some species of toxic frogs and we can see this in insects like bees and wasp. These species warn predators to stay away (Im dangerous). The video link below breaks down the strong correlation between women dying their hair colors (blue/green/pink etc…) and mental disorders. Color dying hair in females is to warn men to stay away. Women that dye their hair unnatural bright colors are 62% more likely to have depression and anxiety.
