I don't live in the U.S. anymore, but when I did live there, I tipped generously. Waitresses and delivery people. They were super attentive to me -- some lonely, ugly teenager. My glass of water would never be less than three-quarters full. And my pizza was always made really quickly.

But to be honest, I think the U.S. should do away with tipping -- it doesn't make any sense that someone's wage should depend on the mood and generosity of his/her particular customer. It makes no sense.

The best servers I've interacted with were mainly in Seoul and Tokyo, and tipping is considered insulting in those countries.
