The European culture is feudalism, after 1,000 years of feudalism. You can't have a serious class society when industry, technology & science are meaning there is a surplus of everything being produced. To have a class society you have to create shortages in everything, especially the essentials of life. Housing, food, water, electricity, fuel. Which is what they are doing.

Soviet communism and American capitalism are all about using massive industry to produce surplus for everybody. They use different political organization, but the goals are quite similar.

But rich guys still have more expensive things in industrial capitalism. Thats true but the utilitarian difference is marginal. Like a middle class person with a mass production automobile like the Ford F150, it may even be superior to the rich peoples cars(as the F150 with mass production has way more money invested in its engineering than small production luxury cars). Then look at cell phones, the poor people have Iphones, and the rich people have the same Iphones.

Then think about food. Poor Americans, middle class Americans and rich Americans are all fat from too much food.

irony with idiots on reddit is they have a consensus the 1% hoarding all the wealth and all new wealth created through technology goes to the 1% :feelstastyman:
:feelstastyman::feelstastyman::feelstastyman::feelstastyman: idiots have clue about world history.

what those leftists preaching, if they get in their way would in fact result in feudalistic society like you described.

i think soviet communism was still largely feudal though. the class divide was there. city folks had access to much better welfare, grocery etc. while rural folks were dirt poor. the nostalgia could just be a function coz of information control back then as well as censorship, so the great masses didnt know the huge difference in class back then. nowadays the poor and middle class can see how the rich lives on internet/social media and this causes discontent and anxiety.

Ya like food, the richest 1% in America can only eat so much food. So when we produce a surplus of food for everybody, then everybody gets enough food to eat.

Ya communism still had a lot of feudal aspects. It was still a top down strict hierarchy. It still put all of society under one command system. The serfs still didn't have economic freedom. And the aristocracy moved from their feudal order, into the layers of managers in the government departments. With the headquarters of those departments in the cities.

But communism did break a very big part of feudalism. Feudalism restricts production in everything with complex systems of licenses, permits and quotas. Which the aristocrat families own those licenses for production. By creating intentional shortages the owners of the licenses get monopolist profits. In communism the licensing system is abolished, and at least early on the communist party was trying to increase production of everything.
