Why is rdr2 so hated here?

the problem is this game reaches such a massive audience that theres always going to be haters. always people dissatisfied with something and want the game another way. same issue with call of duty. too many people wanting the game all different sorts of ways. then what happens is, the developer tries to appeal to too many of these idiots and ruins the game. that is the lifecycle of games that start out great and then turn into shit

The story is just a small percentage of all you can do in the game so even if you don't like that you can have it finished relatively soon, however the roaming and exploring game are unmatched, in that regard the game has the best environments and natural systems simulation in all history of entertainment software. The NPC life simulation is as good as in the best RPGs and on top of that graphics and animations are top notch.

From what I know, it's because the game is written like arthur is a modern day character thrust into the wild West when the two have wildly different cultural values and norms creating a tonal clash. Of course, normal fags don't care.

Yeah you can kill a lot of people but Arthur will still be a wholesome chungus who defends minorities from the heckin' Chuds of the 19th century. You can't kill Natives unless you are far away with a sniper and you lose honor for it. You can kill KKK members and I think you might gain honor but I haven't played it in a while. And in interaction with the KKK, Arthur talks shit no matter if you greet or antagonize them. You can also beat up some racist guy on the street without the police coming after you. There's obviously an agenda
