It is not that Christians which many are circumcised do not think that ritual purity laws in the Torah do not matter or are not important or valuable .many Christians keep many of the laws of the Bible.
Keeping the law is not needed for salvation and modern Christianity focuses more on spreading the gospel and getting people saved and not as much on stricter biblical teachings.

But to answer your question: skepticism. The enlightenment had a degree of influence over Christianity too and therefore people decided to go against the strict biblical teachings. Who still holds shabbat? Very very few protestants.

first of all modern circumcision is different from the jewish kind. Biblical circumcision mandated a small portion of the foreskin be removed which then regrows and at the time jesus was against the pharasites and the sedducees (jews). The biblical god was not pleased by rituals but by the heart of people jesus was focused on fixing the peoples hearts.
