I'm against drug legalization because I believe there should be prison overcrowding with the hope that that means rapists get released earlier than otherwise. I'm still in favor of prison abolition and paying inmates the minimum wage for prison work which they're only currently being paid a few cents for. This would help prisoners be able to buy food so they don't die of hunger which is happening. They'd also be able to share their food with inmates who don't work. Also, prison overcrowding may not just help rapists, but it might also help escortcels since escortmaxxing is illegal.
Also, Google says, "Recent Gallup data indicates that Democrats (23%) are more than twice as likely as Republicans (10%) to report using marijuana." By imprisoning them, we can make them struggle to get a job once they're free. They will therefore have less money to donate to Democratic causes. Also, while they're in prison or jail, they won't be able to vote for the Democrats, so the GOP should support drugs being illegal and recriminalized.
Also, you might say drugs are a victimless crime, but that's not true. Wikipedia says, "Around 80,400 people died in the 12-month period ending December 31, 2024, at a rate of 220 deaths per day. That is 23.6 deaths per 100,000 US residents, using the population at the midpoint of that period." Even cannabis kills(pic related). Also, Trump is against drug dealers.
