I don't like men's rights, so I guess I'm a feminist. Especially since abolition feminism exists. I know a lot of abolitionists seem to defend transgenderism, but it's worth explaining this. First off, they aren't saying to transition. Two, it's probably a strategy. By supporting transgenderism, perhaps they're able to gain more support. It's sort of how even though most men are inmates, it's called abolition feminism. Third, most inmates are not transgender and not even homosexual. Most inmates are straight. Therefore abolition would benefit straights the most. Four, not all abolitionists are progressive. I'd say one example is Joseph Smith who ran for president and seemed to call for prison abolition. He was a religious figure, so it seems questionable that abolitionism is necessarily progressive. In fact, I think LDS supported the pro-traditional marriage Prop 8, so perhaps we could say abolition is conservative. I've sort of made a lot of other points as to how abolition is conservative in other posts, so I won't repeat myself. Even Abraham Lincoln seemed Christian: "Without the assistance of the Divine Being ... I cannot succeed. With that assistance, I cannot fail." Five, yes abolitionists have defended transgenderism, as a way to promote abolition, but so have conservatives supported LGBT. There's the Log Cabin Republicans. There's Wikipedia pages on LGBT conservatism and homo nationalism. There was Milo Yiannopoulos who said he's afraid of Islam because he's gay. There's also a picture of Donald Trump holding a gay pride flag. I don't support Trump.
I just want to be clear that I don't support the pro-trans aspect of abolition feminism and those who expound it.
