If the pillow is too firm that could be a disadvantage tbh
Think about it, don't the more fluffy soft pillows that aren't as firm give better rest than firmer pillows and feel better?
The only benefit I can see is that you can fully the body pillow like a person but for a regular pillow you can only hug it with the upper portion of your body.
