I seriously don’t see a single reason why I should care about them after they gaslit me my entire life. They told me ever since I was a kid to obey the rules, study hard, get good grades, otherwise you’ll end up like the bad kids who will be homeless!!!

In highschool I wasn’t allowed to go to parties (not that I was ever invited anyway JFL) because I needed to study! Get into a good college or you’ll be homeless!!!!

Then once I got in college I was hounded to get good grades and do extra curricular jester clown activities, I even started a club for my resume. otherwise I’d never get a job and be homeless!!!

So I got good grades, graduated, couldnt find a job… ended up getting some low level administrative job that barely covered rent in the downtown city area.

“Just get some experience and you’ll be able to get a $70k a year job!!!! Just work hard bro!!! Oh and of course you’ll be able to et s girlfriend once you’re that rich!!!!”

God laid off after 4 years and now I’m about to go homeless again.

For 26 years I’ve listened to every single piece of advice they’ve given me for two and a half decades and it got me exactly where they promised listening to them wouldn’t… homeless. I’m so pissed that now I’m left to rot after doing all the bullshit they said. It feels like I was their little experiment gone wrong

The irony is the kids who fucked around all day and did the opposite of what I did, are now living way better lives. They’re in construction or the trades and making $50k a year in a low cost of living area, drinking beers with their friends and have girlfriends.

I was told after graduating from an "elite" school that passing my CFA exams would be the final step to making my employable. I didn't mention this part in my original posts because now I'm getting a bit too specific, but I went through the CFA bullshit.

It has done jack shit in getting hired. I was told I could become an investment banker with it... but even bank teller positions are telling me they have more qualified people JFL.
