You're giving them too much credit. They don't think, they just have a series of assumptions about what is right from their culture and they run with those.
Look at upper-middle class university-educated movementarian deep green environmentalists (sent from my iphone) who fetishise primitive peoples, for example. They love pulling revisionist history on how womyn were equal to men (lol), how people living without extensive cultivation of staple crops in rainforests are more peaceful (lol) and how those communities lacking hierarchy (lol) is awesome because hierarchy is bad (lol). They think people living in some idealised faggot agricultural hippy commune would be concerned about stuff like equality and gender theory, and would see negative aspects of the outside world as being unbridled capitalism, hierarchy, shit being unnatural etc.
They think their worldview and the things that are bad to them are a sort of basic, default version of human morality and sensibilities, maybe because it seems intuitive to think that way when you start foaming at the mouth from anything that resembles my soggy knees so everyone else must get a reaction that basic as well, and also because it's the 21st century and we're rational people who watch Vsauce videos and Bojack Horseman. Everything they don't agree with is archaic and can be deconstructed using that or is immoral because it's against something like "human rights" or "equality" (originally justified by there being a God, ask these chucklefucks about that or about what they have to justify any of their bullshit whatsoever). Obviously Amazonian Indios living in South America don't give a flying fuck about any of the stuff that appeals to their worldviews and sensebilities, they care about their needs in relation to their environment, their worldview as it has been shaped by their environment (Not Anglo-American suburbia with a university campus nearby) and threats as THEY understand them. They don't see Brazilian loggers killing them and giving them diseases they aren't vaccinated against as Judeo-Christian Western capitalism coming in to fuck their shit up.
Basically their worldview runs on assumptions that have either nonexistent justification or had their justifications pulled out from under them centuries ago. Zombie Christian morality mixed with modern faggotry that they apply to everything they see and interact with. DO NOT bother taking the moralising of these people seriously or listen to their arguments at all unless the argument is over something that is applicable in the real world by doing something.
