Hi all, Is it just me or do I find videogames kinda boring these days? They don't feel as entertaining these days, or is it just a me thing? And what are some genuine good games that are NOT boring?

Too grindy, quests and side quests are too repetitive, too much padding and wokeness.
I'm kind of a newfag to games and am not following the recent releases, but japanese games from the psp, ps2 and ps3 era are a lot of fun. I'm sure there still are some niche franchise out there for you to explore, so why not just choose one and see if you like it?

They are made boring on purpose. Escapism is no longer created to lift you up or give you something higher to imagine, it just mirrors the gray dystopia we already live in. If every aspect of our culture is sanitized and dumbed down, there’s no contrast with reality anymore, so the enslaved goyim don’t crave for a better world. That’s one of the reasons so many old movies and games get remade. It’s not about honoring the classics, it’s about replacing them so new generations only see the sanitized 'save' version.

Along with the fact that most new games suck, we live with more responsibilities and problems than during our childhoods and have subconscious internalized stress, depression, and other things that make us less prone to enjoy anything I am afraid.

Good single player games are rare to come by and if like me you have played most modern slop games since like 2010 onwards it is only natural for you to be bored.
What works for me is just commiting and playing only one game for a long period of time.
Could be a competitive game like Chess/League of legends or something more lonely like Factorio/The Long Dark

most boring shit ever made
souls games also got boring after playing few of them (they peaked with darksouls 1 and 3), hollow knight is hollow game, yakuzas are fun but in short bursts. I'm still unable to beat yakuza 4 as it got too bored of playing through 2 and 3 in quick succession
